Day 2 of the 2011 Wordcount Blogathon and something HUGE has happened, making it easy for me to have something to blog about. I was considering blogging about different topics than I usually talk about and today-I definitely have something to talk about:
I don’t know if you have heard before now but if you have not, we have been told by President Barak Obama, himself, that Navy SEALS located Osama Bin Laden in a compound built for him, near the capitol of Pakistan and carried out a successful raid on it. No Americans were injured and Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!
I have been watching FOX news and have seen a drawing or layout of this three story house that he was living in. It is being called a mansion. He was living comfortably with his family in this house and evidently, when he was shot in the head, his wife was standing next to him.
It was one bullet in the head; the president wanted to be able to identify his body afterward to have a 100% confirmation that it was indeed him. The raid took 40 minutes but Col Oliver North said that is pretty fast for a raid on someone this big. I don’t believe anyone else was hurt but I don’t know for sure.
The fact that he was found in Pakistan raises many questions about how much they actually knew about his whereabouts. Security has been heightened and we will have to endure that for a short time but just remember, it is for a good cause. Al Quaida will probably try to get revenge and a pipe bomb has already been confiscated from a bridge in San Diego, leading to a Navy SEALS building.
I have been praying for years, patiently, that we will find Osama Bin Laden, dead or alive. I did not pray for his death, I figured that was up to God. I just wanted him found and stopped. Last night, my prayer was answered.
Thank you God!
P.S. Last night, videos outside the White House and in New York, ground zero recorded crowds of young Americans cheering and holding up American flags. It was neat to see.
