This site will feature Bible-based articles some days, silly posts and quotes at least twice a week and facts about Jack the Ripper-to begin with.

Day 21 of the 2011 Wordcount Blogathon and I am barely getting this blog post in. I know it is only 10:00 but I’ll be going to bed and and not really in the mood to do this but want to keep going with this blogathon.

I just saw the season finale of Supernatural, my favorite TV show. It came on last night, but we were having a party of sorts where my daughter had a friend over to spend the night.

For those of you who don’t watch the show. it is about two brothers, whose mother was killed by a demon in 1987 or so, when the older one was 5 years old and

the younger was a baby. Their father set off to find the thing that killed their mother, not knowing then what it was. He moved the kids around from town to town while he hunted this thing and killed other nasty creatures that may have been wreaking some havoc somewhere. Naturally, he taught his two sons to fight these things also. By the way, in this show, all of the things you have ever heard of or not heard of are real: witches, demons, vampires, zombies, ghosts, windegos, demigods, reapers, you name it.

The show is pretty scary and sometimes really gross. It is full of different ways to kill things: you want to kill a ghost, you have to burn it’s bones, a demon-a special incantation, or eventually, they got their hands on a knife that can kill anything-just about. Later, they were given a special gun-The Colt-made by Samuel Colt in the 1800’s. You want to kill a vampire-if I remember correctly, you have to cut off their heads and the list goes on. Salt is good for torture-it burns the skin right off of the human that is possessing the demon and the demon feels it too. Salt also can protect you from a ghost is you draw a circle on the floor with it and get inside the circle. If you happen to smell sulfur, you know a demon has been there.

Season 6 just ended and boy, was it a doozy! If I were to try to explain it I would probably just confuse you because so many things have happened since the first season. I will probably end up doing more posts to describe what has happened over the past six seasons-unless you respond and tell me not to because you would rather be dragged across a parking lot behind a car.

Supernatural comes on Friday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern time on the CW. It also comes on in the mornings 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on TNT.

I forgot to mention that the show is basically about 2 things besides the scary creatures: family and the car-a 1967 Chevy Impala, which Dean and his dad rebuilt when he was younger. The car is in every episode.

I found a video on youtube put to the music of AC/DC, which is music that is sometimes on the show, or other bands like them. This video basically breaks down the first episode of Season 1 in a few minutes. First, you see the family, the night their mother is killed, then you see Sam, in college with his girlfriend, Jess-engaged and in law school. He had a big fight with his dad and left home-he did not want to live the kind of life they lived-can you blame him? Then, you see Dean come to visit him and they go off in the Impala because their dad has been gone for more days than usual. Sam agrees to help for the weekend but must get back on Monday to take the BAR exam. You see Dean grab Sam on the bridge-that is because he has mentioned their mother and Dean tells him not to mention her ever again. You see the car chasing them because a highway ghost is killing young men by getting them to cheat and then killing them. The ghost has taken the car, and Dean is Not happy. The ghost then tries to tempt Sam but he will not take the bait, driving the car into the house where she had killed her little kids before killing herself, by jumping off of a bridge, I think. She kept saying she could never go home, so Sam figured that’s what he should do to defeat her and lo and behold, her kids come for her and are glad to get revenge on Mommy.

You then see Dean take Sam back home and get a note from Jess, his girlfriend. You then see him lying on the bed and blood drip down from the ceiling. He looks up and yes, Jess is going to be killed the same way their mother was. So now, Sam is ready to fight and go find the thing that killed their mother and now Jess. They load the weapons into the back of the Impala and are ready to go.
