October Fact A Day

East Hartford, Connecticut Representative, Tim Larson wants to change the date of Halloween to the last Saturday of the month. He says it would be easier on kids and parents because they would not be trying to fit in time for homework and parents would not have to try to rush home to cook dinner and get the kids out to trick-treat before it gets too late.

  1. Growing up, we always trick or treated on Halloween, no matter what day of the week it was. But once I got married and moved to PA I found that the practice here is to have trick or treat night on the Friday or Saturday before Halloween. Each town decides when it will be, and they put it in the paper so everyone will know.
