O Is For Outside For Grass!!!

My friend, who now owns Meatball, told me that I could take the piggies outside for grass, that they love grass. I tried it and boy, she was right! They loved it. Whenever it is warm enough, or not too hot, I take them outside for grass. I bought a pet playpen to use outside, to keep them from running off. They munch away, totally contented.
Yesterday, it was nice outside, so I took them out. I have to take them out separately or I will have more guinea pigs in a couple of months. I took the boys out first and they enjoyed the sun. It was really windy, so they avoided the wind, hiding in the carrier that I brought them out in.
When I took the girls out, they seemed to do the same; until Anna came home from school. She removed their hiding place and rearranged the playpen, to see what the girls would do. We even brought Speckles out to see if she could get along with Taylor but Taylor picked on her. Anna rearranged the playpen so Taylor could not get to Speckles.

Here is some pictures from yesterday:

5 minute friday-Beauty

It’s Friday again and time to participate in 5 minute friday with the gypsy mama, a woman from South Africa who initiated this brilliant prompt-write for five minutes, no editing, no stopping and you, too can join in the fun by clicking on the button underneath this sentence and typing your post in her comments or type it out first and link up to her linky tool, which you should be able to get to. Even if you’re not a writer, and you are inspired by the prompt, no one will criticize you for it if you give it your best!
These are her few rules:

Want to take five minutes with me and share what you found? Want to just write without worrying if it’s just right or not. Here’s how we do it:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing.

2. Link back here and invite others to join in {you can grab the button code in my right side bar}

3. Go and tell the person who linked up before you what their words meant to you. Every writer longs to feel heard.

OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes for the prompt:

I am constantly amazed at the beauty I see around me. The deep green in the trees, the blue in the sky, the smell, shape and texture of the flowers scream to me that an intelligent God created them.
The brilliant orange in the sun and the fact that you can’t look directly into it without pain, not to mention the warmth we get from it, it cannot be an accident. The colors and shapes of the moon and the mystery surrounding it for so long, leaves me in wonder.
My wonderful house, that my husband bought for us to live in, I can’t keep up with it all the time.
The beauty in my daughter’s voice when she sings, the young woman she has become, so good and sweet and honest. I am so proud!
The beauty of my younger daughter as the little girl look leaves her and the teenage looks sets in, the fact that she was baptized last weekend and is maturing faster than i can keep up with, and all four of us can be together in heaven. I am so proud of her!

5 minute friday-When Seasons Change

Take a deep breath. You made it. It’s Friday.

Got five minutes? Let’s write. Let’s write in shades of real and brave and unscripted.
Let’s just write and not worry if it’s just right or not.

1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. Go buck wild with encouragement for the five minuter who linked up before you.

It’s a great way to catch your breath at the end of a long week. And it gives me a chance to give one of you a little somethin’ somethin’ from DaySpring, who I love more than white cheddar popcorn – and um, yea, that’s a lot!

Last week the Victorious Life Charm Bracelet went to Lisa Marie!

This week the God Loves You Like Crazy Wind Chime is up for grabs.

OK, are you ready? This week’s prompt is brought to you by twitter. Or at least, by the responses I got on twitter when I asked for suggestions. Thanks Lindsey for this great one. Or as we would say in Afrikaans, Baie dankie (pronounced “Buy a donkey” I kid you not!)

Give me your best five minutes for the prompt:

When seasons change….
I love it when seasons change, especially when summer comes. It is sunny all the time, the kids are home, I watch Phineas and Ferb with the kids, I hear, “Mom, what’s for lunch?” and sometimes have to remind the younger one to come home for lunch. We go to the pool a lot or sometimes they go and give me time alone.
This year I will have a graduate at the house and when Fall comes will be going off to school. I will deal with that when it comes.
So, give me your 5 minutes. Don’t forget to link it back to me.
